I had no idea these were so versatile I thought they were just for frying and pancakes, (insert slap head smiley here) Now I understand what the fuss is about.
I’m after the table top Safari Chef version it’s going for around £50 on the net, but I’d prefer to buy off the shelf if possible but can’t find anyone local who stock Cadac, Any ideas?

We paid £38 for ours off E-bay from the Outdoor Leisure Shop who actually have a real shop at: Lifestyle & Leisure Showroom 229 Sea Street Herne Bay Kent CT6 8JZ I got the HP version that uses disposible canisters (£4.99 each)rather the LP version that requires an additional regulator and a refillable gas bottle. So far off one cansiter we have done Brighton - One main meal, two full englishes and numerous cups of tea plus water for washing and washing up, Dover - one full English and numerous cups of tea plus water for washing and washing up and there is still gas in the canister.

Well that solves that mystery I was edging towards LP for the longer life but if you’re getting that much out of HP I’ll go for that saving a bit of space and weight. The ones I’ve been watching on ebay have been in the high £40’s + £8.50 p&p, you did well at £38.

The ones I’ve been watching on ebay have been in the high £40’s + £8.50 p&p, you did well at £38. The one we were bidding on went for over £45, I bid £38 and lost but they made me a second chance offer at £38 so I took it. So it is worth making a High £30's low £40's bid and holding your guns and seeing what happens. They are listing them a couple of times a week so you don't have to wait lomg if you loose out. Other than that the cheapest I found was £39 + £10 P&P from Northern Ireland. Oh yes in addition to the usaged I forgot to mention that the first time Leng put the canister on the burner valve was open, and she did it with the canister upside down so there was a fair volume of liquified gas sprayed everywhere.
