I would do this if I thought I could raise the sponsorship!
Must be a few that wish I'd jump off a cliff, OK quite a few.....but how many would pay me to jump?
Anyone willing to sponsor me?
PS. I dont like heights and could well go white with fear....must be worth a laugh at my expense?

This not for me but would sponsor someone out of those doing it Tina, Collin or even Corinne if I can get her to do it we could all meet for a fly on the Tye after we watched those that opted to do it.

Yesterday i went with work to GO APE an obsticle course in the treetops, including high wire and tarzan swings into cargo nets. The rope bridges to get up were terrifying for someone who sends Andrew up in the loft as she is so scared! But the giant zip slides down were amazing. I started by clinging on to the tree but three hours in had conquered my fear. It was an amazing experience and i learn't alot about myself. If you want to do it you can!!

Go on then £10 it is:
I have some old rope and carabiners from the £1 shop that you could use, it will save you having to buy something you are not likely to need again

Thank you DaveM, have Four White Feathers ready too...and you will get to keep the rope and carabiners! It was an amazing experience and I learnt a lot about myself. If you want to do it you can!! Well done for overcoming your fears!
But do I really want to know things about myself like: 1/ Talks the talk but cant walk the walk? 2/ A big Yellow streak runs down my back? 3/ Talking of yellow streaks....Bladder / Bowel control....maybe the lack of? 4/ Cant come down my 3 Camper steps, about 2ft, why did I think I could do 80ft? 5/ Silly Old Git, thinks his knees will hold out, never mind they will be trembling as well? 6/ Realisation and proof of "The mind is willing but the body isn't!" 7/ My Mummy ain't around anymore to give me a sick note on the Day?

Have you told her you're up for it - it's cheaper if there's a group doing it ;D

Yep she knows I'm up for it! ;D One thing I have never fancied is a 'group doing it'.......I have to pay for it ?? Tina is bringing the paperwork to the BKF festival (whens that on then?) and has three definite Swingers for the minimum required team of four. WHO is the other one, male or female? At least ONE more wanted, (personally) Female preferred! Thanks for your sponsorship Kev, Yea you can have my kite if I fall...bring a cuppa for one last sip then say some kind words over my body, Kev the very .... Thank you for your sponsorship DannyR, and I will take you advice and not be the first one down, just in-case the rope ain't long enough!!

Hi Colin
In my opinion any “nut case” can jump of a cliff, gravity is quite capable of doing the job for you and to my mind the “jumper” is just jumping for the fun of it
On the other hand, I support your charitable intentions and will donate £25 to your charity providing you do not smoke between now and the proposed abseil
Cheers
Big John

Thanks for your sponsorship Dr.John. I do not intended to let gravity ‘do its job for me’…..I’ll leave that to the sad and disillusioned ‘nutters’….I want to defy gravity and walk away for a smoke and cuppa tea after!
I think an apology, from me, to all those that have dipped into their pockets for their charitable donations is in order here! I made that offer to ‘descend in a controlled manner’ (Not jump!) as a laugh really, making a calculated summary of club members I did not expect to get any response, on here especially, and thought it was a safe gamble and that I wouldn’t have to do it! Apologies to everyone for having negative thoughts about them, not a good judge of people am I?
This weeks most talked about 'must have' kite is a new addition to the raffle prizes!
IT'S NOT WHAT YOU GATHER, BUT WHAT YOU SCATTER THAT SUMMARISES WHAT KIND OF PERSON YOU HAVE BEEN IN LIFE..… [/sub]
