We have again been invited to Lark in the Park to fly kites and have some fun.
The event is in the small recreation area at the end of Seaside in Eastbourne same place as last year.
Last year we won the landrover pulling as well as flying kites so lets see if we can do it again

The recreation ground on Seaside at the juction of Whitley Road, Eastbourne. East Sussex
Registered charity event
The Lark in the park is a great day out for all the family. Featuring entertainers including Brighton Kite Flyersand stalls promoting local business.
The are childrens play areas, music live bands and lots of fun for everyone! All funds raised are then donated to charity.
The objective of the charity is established for the relief of need of the children and young people with special needs, in particular but not exclusively, maintaining a minibus.
The Charity of Lark in the Park, as it is more commonly know, was registered with the Charity Commission in the November of 2001.
Our next project is to provide a house for respite holidays for the children near to Eastbourne, and also some residential accommodation too.
Come and join us for a Lark in the park!

Hoping to be there regardless of the predicted heavy rain as I NOW have the solution.
Bringing my 5mtr inflatable BOAT...in a gale it will fly, upside down we can shelter under it, if its hot it makes a great paddling pool, and if it floods we have a boat!
The ultimate Kite festival necessity...should have lent it to Dave H who is at Glastonbury mud festival all this week! Breaking news today said it was impossible to put in tent pegs as the slushy mud was too deep, could have camped in my boat and put a couple of anchors out, sorry Dave!

Now having camped in the field by the EE07 event, Princes park, it was a heck of a lot better for everything that Lark in the park puts on, compared to where it it is usually put on in Seaside road, ample parking for the public too...Put me down for next year!!
Talking of Seaside road, that Indian curry place was fantastic and they delivered to the camper!!
