So there I am, second flight of my new SkyDancer on the the Island in St Ives, Cornwall and as usual someone comes across to ask about the kite. Hello I think, this chap looks familiar - and so he was - John H. who joined BKF at the festival and was with us at Eastbourne.
How far does one have to go to get away from BKF members?

Related subject...Les let me fly his Sky Dancer at Bristol, and it was certainly FUN! (and someone else's, so if I broke it...oops, and walk away!) I was pleasantly surprised as it always appeared to be a 'wisshi washy' floppy, bendy ...but no, it has its own character, you gotta try one...brilliant!
Also met Simon (outsider) at Portsmouth and had a brief chat, welcome to the Club mate...also saw him at Bristol but couldn't catch up with him to say hi......

They do very much have their own unique character - keeping tension on the bottom lines when you want to start throwing it around the sky is very different to the . It's sort of a cross between a , a stacker (for the power sweeps across the wind window) and a diamond kite like a Peter Powell (for the loops and figures with a long tail).

Hi C2LLN
Thanks for "the mention in despatches" sorry I really didn't see you at Bristol or other wise I'd have moved a lot faster. It was good to meet you at Pompey. Sorry if I'm being somewhat dim, but why was Kev telling me to let out all your line after you kindly let me have a play with the butterfly? Just not cricket, old thing.

By the look of your posting seems you have joined the ' Lay into Collin Club ' Membership is easy and you have just made LOADS of friends!!!
Kevin ONCE pegged his kite out and went read a book (look at pictures more like) and I let ALL his line out and sat back watching him reel in for hours ;D ;D ;D He has since SEVERAL times got his own back At least you appreciated my kind side!

C2LLN
How could you suggest that I have joined the "lay into Colin Club", HUMPH. I hardly know you, BUT your reputation goes before you. Careful, considerate, understanding, oh hang on, my nose has grown too long and is getting in the way.

It just goes to show you how inaccurate, malicious rumours start!
I was explaining to my little Princess about Cleopatra and how they had 'food tasters' to ensure their food was safe to eat and not poisoned etc. And it was my DUTY to protect her with my life, I HAD to eat it all as the cold temperature would have delayed the action of the Poisons.....
Now I will be looked upon as an uncaring, greedy, bad father....Thanks a lot!
