Thought i might write a short review, just to say what a great time we had, and would defiantly
GO AGAIN
The Whole thing was very well organized and everyone was really friendly, even when i said that my van was a means to an end, and my main hobby was kite flying. I think this went over the heads of some of the van aficionados but at least they nodded politely.
The fun began when we stopped in a petrol station on the A417 for fuel, to find it full of VWs.
Then again on the M5.
Not really sure where i was going, i followed a T2 bay in the sure knowledge that he was headed to vanfest!
Next thing a bunch of T4s came past with air horns blasting.

Linda said no
but i think she has seen the light after repeated air horn impressions from yours truly on the way home ;D ;D)
Well that will do for me, thinks I.
Stuck my toe down and turned up at vanfest in a convoy of 9 T4 vans.
We were made very welcome as soon as we parked up and made some new Friends over the weekend.
Friday night was showaddywaddy in the main marquee.
so i did my hair in a DA donned the drapes and off we went.
(thing may have been getting a bit vague around this stage!)
Saturday was spend wandering round the trade stands
I am now the proud owner of a new steering wheel, a new speaker grill, a new fog light switch (just need the fog lights), and a new window winder for a 96 onward T4 (mine is a 94 :
Saturday night was the big night with the Commitments live on stage. We pushed our way to the front and had a really great night.
Sunday was a chill out day, pancakes for breakfast, which i had to cook myself (SIMON). A wander round the show and shine to see what could be done with time and money in bucket loads and hit the road about 2PM to miss the queue.
Still took 3/4 hour to get out.
Stopped of on the way in a lay-by and Linda cooked lunch.
Got home about 5:30 PM total exhausted but very happy.
