We had a great relaxing weekend. Well except for when Matt deceided to climb a rather tall tree to retrieve Colins expensive Paraglider. The usual club constitution of firstly point and laugh and then help Colin was put into practice.
Thanks to all that made this a great weekend and we are looking forward to the next one!

What a fantastic and eventful weekend. Yes, many thanks to Ron for his efforts in putting it together once again. For those that missed it….it really was good, in-fact better than good, excellent, you missed a great weekend. Teston particularly is a 'get together' and its the participants that provide the 'crack' so thanks everybody for a great event.
I went Thursday (while you were all at work) as did four others campers. Friday saw everyone drifting in throughout the day and it was full, not as busy as last year though. Saturday was not that windy but flyable and lots of public in attendance as usual flying more kites than the Kite flyers as we are fussy about wind, direction, turbulence etc. but in truth ‘busy’ socialising and playing games! Saturday evening saw me being the ‘Pointed and laughed’ at victim as that is in the ELF constitution to anyone that is in any way having problems (with the best possible intentions), mine being I flew my RC Paracopter into to top of the largest tree I could have! THANK YOU Matt, who climbed up a blooming long way and risked his neck to get it back. Speaking to the rangers the next morning they informed me that some Lads had set of a couple of large ‘cake’type fireworks at 10pm followed by hot air balloons and then disappeared!!! Hey, it was a superb show, I’m not complaining! (more in the Club Members Area!) Sunday was superb flying weather with lots of Kites up, BKF Ted doing his field domination in style, admired and photographed by the public. Rob had his Pirate theme section at the far end of the field, although I never got down there I think it went down well with both public and kiters too. Late evening was spent watching the fairly clear skys for meteors burning up in the atmosphere as the comet Swift-Tuttle’s tail debris intersected earths orbit. Monday, (while you were all at work) unusually quite a few stayed on, the day was spent flying fighter kites and very slowly packing away…traditionally I am always the last to leave and this I did at 3pm.
Where were YOU?
