tkogunn1.tripod.com/kiteclubs.htm describes Kite Weekenders as "Kite Weekenders kite club a social group for kite flying campers in southern UK, a spin off out of the Brighton Kite Flyers". Someone must have sent them that description. Is Kite Weekenders turning in to a full breakaway from BKF?
Clubs have membership lists and you usually pay to join. Is KW heading that way? What would happen with the subscriptions?

i find this post rather rude if you have a question about kite weekenders (or any other club/person ) you should ask them direct rather than posting it on another clubs forum for anyone to see its a bit like talking behind there back and that ain't nice and nobody likes it big luv XXX

Totally agree with you RHW, very bad form indeed, but originating from a newly activated member of the BFK forum making their first post and obvious to me, an attempt to, shall we say, rock the boat?
Personally I belong to a few kite clubs and KiteWeekenders has never been associated with a ‘spin off’ from any of those ‘clubs’? KW is a forum for an expanding group of like minded individuals, who enjoy kiting and camping, all of who belong to several kite clubs in the UK and abroad.
I have only this week sent off my membership renewal to BKF for 2010-2011 and do not foresee not belonging to such a friendly and knowledgeable kite club as Brighton.
It is also bad form to rob posts from one forum and stick it on another, or I would duplicate this ridiculous post on KW and discuss it where it should have been addressed to in the first place!
I think this has answered parttimeflyer's provocative first post?
