As most who were at the AGM on Sunday will already know, an item was put forward , seconded and agreed to unanimously, taking immediate effect as of today 1st.April 2009 .
It did not go down well with everybody, * but more of that later. A brief explanation of its significance is that Collin Marshall™ has deposited £300 into the club funds as insurance against damage to ANY kites HE is flying that DOES NOT belong to him.
It was agreed therefore that with this ‘insurance’ in place, ANY kite airborne or assembled when the BFK fly together, could be hampered/tampered/ maybe even ‘flown’ by CM™ with the assurance that should the kite (or line) be damaged, through his negligence, the damage will be compensated to the owner out of that £300 deposit AND the owner can also keep their trashed kite/line and no penalty will be held against you, your full NCD is safe and you can claim again and again. ( ONLY one claim per kite/line however)
Refusal by a club member to allow CM™ access to their kite can be voiced ONLY if they are holding the line to that kite at the time of the takeover attempt. (Unless * is on show, more of that later.) An assembled kite left on the ground will be considered an open invitation, as will a ‘pegged’ unattended kite. Size and type of kite he can help himself to is irrelevant as he is a ‘Jack of all, Master of none’….in other words useless at everything, hence the insurance!
Claims of damage MUST be immediately reported to the Committee, and ‘before’ and ‘after’ photographic images produced along with a proof of purchase or manufacture date and original kite bag.
As mentioned earlier * Members unwilling to share or wishing not to participate in this approved scheme CAN purchase a yellow ‘FLAG’ (photo below) which when attached to their kite line assures their property will remain SAFE.
At only £10 per flag it will cover you against CM™ flying YOUR kite for a lifetime, additional flags available if you fly more than one kite simultaneously, obviously at a additional £10 each.
PM me to arrange payment, cash, cheques, credit cards all accepted. SAE for your Yellow Flags please.
