Its just another social networking site - there are a few around but i think that Facebook is probably one of the more popular - i tend to use it to communicate with friends and its a handy place to dump pictures as well :-) so family and friends can keep up to date with what im doing :-)

Yep, and me, I've been decapitated too.
I joined to look at DCW's photos of Farnborough Air show and was inundated with requests to be peoples 'friends'? Being a Billy No Mates, I was initially taken in....'I have friends'....whoopee, then I realised it was more a competition of who had the most 'friends' on their home page, I was not anybody's 'friend' at all, just a meaningless addition to their head count. I cried myself to sleep that night.
Next time I logged into my e-mails, it was full of links to see MY FACEBOOK.... there were loads of head hunters after me, offering me flowers, bits of ribbon, car races, drinks, wanting to buy me and if I responded to these pointless tasks it was going to help global warming and all sorts of cr*p!
Drawn into collecting 'friends', like in the film PREDATOR, I was now obliged to do the chore of going there daily to LOOK at the stuff, an unnecessary addition to my daily tasks, but having been decapitated I had no brain to choose NOT TO!!
Recently however I have been contacted by family members and school chums I have not seen for decades.....its good for that if nothing else. Got to try and stitch my head back on now to communicate with them.........

I must admit that I have been VERY selective in who I accept as friends: apologies to any one that I have refused/ignored, but I won't accept if I can't see the point So I haven't been inundated with too much...
