interesting image,
but why is the boy running towards the kite and the kite flying the wrong way round. I.e. tail upwind of the kite.

who is to say that he is running, either forwards or backwards. i think the wind has dropped causing the kite to turn over. the boy's leg is lifted to take his first step backwards. Also you may note the the dogs two back legs are so short that they don't quite reach the ground. Cheers, Greenman P.S. The wind is from the North

OK then how do you account for the line bowing upwards

If you look carefully, you will notice that only the lower part of the line is bowing slightly upwards. I think a little artistic licence should be alowed as it is astheticly pleasing to the eye.

P.S. On second thoughts, the picture could be from the southern hemisphere and the wind would be comming from the south.
