Has been posted in the members area for months now, non members and other kite fliers welcome!
Due to persistent requests I have managed to coax a couple of extra days mid week out of the site owner, so its now Wednesday27th August to Monday the 1st September.
See previous threads of what to expect if you haven't been before, we can use the campsite showers and an 'honesty box' is in operation this time just put £1.50 in if you have a shower!

COWS prevent Kiting!
Due to Sumners Ponds management, the cows were not removed for Wednesday as their dairy diary was not amended and still showed the Friday to Monday booking!!!
I am going Thursday to make a nuisance of myself and see how cows are shifted....shifted, I said shifted......
See you there?

Thanks to everyone that came to Sumners Ponds this weekend…what a good turnout! It was a nice relax from the Kite extravaganza of Portsmouth where there was so much to see, do, and shy away from!
Photographs put up by D-Alien say it all really, the view of kites on the distant hill top horizon, seen from the village, were appreciated by residents of Barnes Green and fellow campers. Kites were unusually flying from dawn to dusk, past events here always suffered bad weather one way or another.
There was a surprise party and BBQ on Saturday evening (arranged by Sarah and Genie) for FOUR members all having a birthday that week….we were all pleasantly surprised but did feel inadequate as we would all like to have contributed to the organisation and food etc. I did do the washing up though! Matt pre-celebrated his birthday by chancing his luck by launching himself off the back of a pick-up at 30mph…on a towed Paraglider, (tut, tut) and survived!
Everyone wants to do it again, soon, so I am open to suggestions to a possible date we can all make and will book it up?

Thanks to everyone who made the BBQ a success and for turning up, it was better than I could have hoped for. One of the best birthday parties I've had, and even more enjoyable that I got to share it with Matt, Andrew and Marie. Did everyone enjoy the cake as much as I did? . As for another bash at Sumners Pond, how about the weekend after Ardingly. We could combine Light Up The Sky and One Sky One World as it is on Sunday 12/10/08................farmer, weather and cow poop permitting.....LOL. Genie. P.S. Great photos D-alien.
