Just got back from the 100 years of Scouting Celebration. Didn't start well with no wind at 8am when they all had a sunrise ceremony & did their promises. However as the day progressed the wind picked up slightly and kids all enjoyed fling EDF kites and we put on a display with the club Manta & our purple meanie.
A lovely relaxed day for all those who attended. It was the usual faces and we all had a good time!

Yes a great day all round, disappointing turnout by our members it was quite hard for half a dozen of us to put on a show for 2000+ Scouts who thoroughly enjoyed the Manta and Blue Meanie, we managed to fly other single line kites, only just, as the wind was light to nil! The good part was I managed to BLAG my way across the 2000+ scouts at 11am and therefore had my Camper on the flying field and loadsatea to hand!!!
Sorry Simon but I am reluctantly unavailable for:
" Long Furlong, just off the A24 near Findon again we are being asked to fly and help with a workshop. 3rd August 2007 " due to setting up the Sumners Pond Bash.
Collin DONT KEEP ON S.H. Ifyou cut and paste into Google Maps will get you directions ' Long Furlong, Worthing, West Sussex, United Kingdom ' , making no promises but as its down the road I MAY pop in to help!!
