The festival is at Chelmsford, Essex, on the 15th and 16th September, more details can be found HERE
Dave Mitchell has passes, so does anyone else want to come? Camping is FREE to Kite flyers and you can get yours and further info from Dave at: dave@kiteworldevents.com He will need your name and vehicle reg.no.
It's just gone up (pardon the pun) on 'Kite calender' and it doesn't clash with any other event we do, as far as I know.

Depends, are you taking 'Big Yellow' ? If you cant get off the field don't worry, I'll bring a tow rope. ;D ;D ;D
Dave has said the area put aside for us to camp in is on the perimeter and we do not have to drive across the public areas as it has its own access. To be sure he will post it up on Monday.

I had aranged a pub crawl around Lewes for my birthday. But I have had a word with those concerned and delayed it for another time. If there are some spare tickets going we would love to come along. Collin, if you can blag me a balloon ride all the better.

now lets think about hot air ballons here. made of nylon (which is full of air at 120 degrees C). nylon is highly inflammable and melts at 260 degrees C. the air is heated by huge naked gas burners. tents are made from the same material, and the manufacturers aways recommend no naked flames. The diffence being that tents are fixed firmly to the ground instead of hanging a thousand feet in the air. Ballons have no steering except for changing altitude and hoping to get wind blowing in a different direction. You are in a basket which is made of wicker ,not metal or fiberglass but wicker. Just for luck in this wicker basket you have a number of gas bottles to power the burners. Gas bottles explode if they are punchured! collin, you want to blag a ride for dave in one of these !!!! for info Linda and I had a ride in one for my Birthday it was great

Its MONDAY Dave? Thanks for posting out my FREE Entrance/Camping Pass too [/b][/quote] Not managed to get an answer from the event company today, she is still dealing with 21,000 campers leaving the site from last weekends V Festival Can it be that hard dealing with 21k of drunken campers I did not bother her on her mobile today but will call first thing tomorrow. I cannot see any problem as there is a emergency exit route from the perimeter of the camping field. There has been lots of interest in the festival and I will be sending out passes to those that have applied over the next few days. Could you please apply to me sooner rather than later for passes, as I dont want any of you of to miss out, this being due to us sharing the camping area with the balloon people and traders and we may get restricted on camping space. The last question is will C2LLN manage to blag a balloon flight? If he does, he could do a long launch for me with a kite I have that will not fly ;D regards Dave dave@kiteworldevents.comwww.kiteworldevents.com

Hi All
Quick update re camping and leaving early.
There is not a problem to leave but it will need to be pre arranged due to needing to be escorted off site. (H&S thing I suspect)
The 21,000 campers have gone and left just 42 tonnes of rubbish including hundereds of tents left fully erect.
Collin could have seen an opportunity here (FREE) but they have all gone for this year.
regards
Dave ;D
