OK its a soldering gun, but with the flat blade attachment I have found it excellent for cutting and sealing ripstop. I think its only the Crawley store that has this on offer AT THE MOMENT....If you want one I will get it and post it to you for £12 all in. BE DECISIVELY QUICK (and let me know here) AS THERE ARE ONLY A FEW LEFT!

I have one put aside with YOUR name on it!
I am surprised no one else jumped at my offer, has everyone got one of these essential bits of kit then? I can still get a couple more at the moment.....Kite Ski Bags too if you cant get one yourself.... An alternative hot knife! I resisted buying the Back protector and will rely on my sharp wit, looking behind me, and legging it if necessary in 2009.... ;D

Collin Thanks for my Lidl goodies The hot knife can get red hot in 10-12 seconds, too much for rip stop , but I have a short extension lead that I have fitted with a 400w dimmer and 13A socket. I made it originally to solder white metal model kits with a conventional soldering iron. Set to 50% makes the solder gun/hot knife perfect for ripstop and when cutting thick webbing, 75% is enough. IF YOU DON'T KNOW ENOUGH ABOUT ELECTRICS TO DO THIS, PLEASE TAKE EXPERT ADVICE: I DON'T WANT TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ACCIDENTS As a retired electrical engineer, I do know what I am talking about.
