Greetings, I am fairly sure that these kites are the ones that were offered for sale last August on e-bay for £12.50 each plus £5.50 postage each! See my posting from last August entitled ‘Worlds Most Expensive Kites?’ The seller at the time was from Bristol. The same kites appeared at the Bristol Festival and were reduced to a fiver each! I don’t’ think many were sold as I saw one that was bridled backwards. I seem to think they are fairly ordinary Indian fighters of a reasonable quality, as to what they would cost in India I am unsure but certainly way way less than a pound each (unless the buyer of course was cheated) just coppers. The mysterious Lubin (whoever he is) will be able to tell you.
As you imply they are more than good enough to be cut out by a number 14 bus on Portsmouth seafront! Which incidentally was the most fun at a festival I had all last season and I had a lot! I’m up for some at a sensible price but not at a pound each. Regards Dick

As norfolk says pound is over the top I would expect 50p is nearer the price for a unbridled indian kite of that quality a lot of these cheap indian kite don't always fly well without a bit of tweaking, also when buying in bulk you find its not unusal to find a percentage of damaged ones in the lot, buyer beware, you would be better off buying Indonesian from the Graham Jackson or Mac of Mac-fighterkites, I am sure if you form a small group an buy a reasonable number a sensible price can be had and a better kite. also you can see what you are buying?
Thats only my opinion for what it is worth Lubin
PS price in India 2 rupees or 2p
Also I think Graham has some Brazilian Pipas which are a nice little kite to fly.

Hello everyone, Some information about fighter kites,as mention before about Tony Slater's kites, there is a new list which includes fighter kites. As far as I know they are more genuine than those on ebay, after all Tony was a real kiteman. cheers, Jamaicaman
